Nidhi Shetty

Nidhi has more than 5 years of experience of working with a team to support children, young adults and adults on a variety of mental health issues. She has completed her Masters in Medical and Psychiatric Social Work from Manipal University along with Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. After her post graduation Nidhi worked as a school counsellor in Innisfree house school Bangalore where she worked with children across grades 1 to 10 and also counselled staff members of the school. She subsequently worked in hospital settings as a counsellor in IVF centres where she offered support for psychological issues for couples going through treatment. She has also offered psychological counselling for children preparing for competitive exams. Nidhi is a trained Restorative Justice Facilitator, QPR Gatekeeper trained from Suicide Prevention India Foundation and a CBT Practitioner. Nidhi believes in providing evidence based therapies as per the requirements of clients to aid positive behavioural changes. From defining client goals and conducting initial assessments to developing individualised plans and building trusting relationships, her experience and passion in mental health drives her to work for the most marginalised groups. Currently, at RATI, she works as a counsellor and visits different communities to conduct regular sessions with child victims of sexual offences and their families.
