Vaijanti Makhija

Vaijanti is a Social Worker and has more than 15 years of experience of working with children at risk. She has completed her Bachelor’s in Social Work from College of Social Work, Nirmala Niketan and post-graduation in Management Studies from ICFAI University. She began her career with a community-based disaster risk management program in Mumbai, by the College of Social Work where she worked on training and capacity building for disaster preparedness and epidemic prevention.
Post this she joined the CHILDLINE India Foundation (CIF) as State Lead for implementation of CHILDLINE 1098 service across the state of Gujarat contributing significantly to the expansion of child protection services across the western region of India. She has also led advocacy initiatives at state level, campaigns and capacity building of program implementing teams across states. At RATI, as the project lead for Meri Trustline, she oversees the execution of the helpline dedicated to victims of online violence and abuse in need of assistance. By fostering trust and empathy, she wishes to empower children and women to navigate their concerns with information that promotes a safe and healthy internet experience.
